Cooler and Freezer Storage

Cooler and Freezer Storage

When it comes to cooler/freezer storage, experience is by far the most valuable thing that Fullmer can bring to the table as General Contractor. Fullmer has a deep understanding of the refrigeration and thermal requirements of cooler/freezer buildings. This understanding extends into the maintenance of temperature in an environment that doesn’t cause any building breakdown while still upholding all sanitation needs.

Freezer and Cooler Storage Featured Project

Located in Riverside, California, Fullmer completed a 507,000 square foot cooler/freezer facility for Dole and Walmart. The building is being used as a Walmart Distribution Hub, stands as one of the largest cold storage facilities in the world, and has the capacity to hold 60,000 pallets. The design is energy-efficient and required 36,000 square yards of concrete, 6.19 million pounds of steel, 100 miles of wire and 10,000 electrical lamps. The building includes 22,500 square feet of office space, 120 trailer stalls, 98 dock doors and stands 42' tall.

Fullmer served as the general contractor for this project, which took 10 months to complete. It shows Fullmer's capacity to work under time constraints and complete the project to the owner's satisfaction.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for doing such a nice job with our, out of the box, Dole project. We have ended up with a very nice facility that would not have happened without the perfect contractor.

Your appreciation for the customer was refreshing. This was a pretty challenging project and I never saw anyone on the site not working in the spirit of the project. Thanks for your endless efforts to manage all that was thrown at you.
